Beernem is situated near Bruges in the province of Western Flanders. The channel connecting Bruges with Ghents runs right through Beerem. Beernem is the newest addition to the European Tigé Wakeboard Tour.

The Beernem yachtclub counts 90 moorings, boats up to 18 metres are allowed. The club lies right out of a 5 km-long high-speed and water-ski area. It has its own slipway. The yachtclub offers many facilities to both members and visiting yachts: lavatories, showers, waste container, telephone, water, electricity and the possibility to fill up. Moreover, there is a cafeteria with terrace. In the cafeteria everyone’s welcome!

Beernem is a rural municipality with 14,500 inhabitants. The area is full of exciting places and diverse landscapes. You can discover fields lined by typical alleys or the provincial domain Bulskampveld and its castle surrounded by mysterious forests. However, there is even more to be seen: the green banks of the historical Canal Ghent-Bruges or Oedelem’s ‘mountain’ amidst picturesque fields and pastures.  There are innumerable possibilities for walkers, bikers, equestrians and daytrippers in this charming rural area. For adventurous people, there is a mountain bike route, several water-sport facilities and an exiting obstacle course.
